Bike to DC
One of the things we love about the DC area are the bike paths. When we were here for our house-hunting trip back in August, Joe discovered a bike path while he was out running. That day we ended up renting bikes and riding into DC (a little over five miles).
Since we are now living in the area, we thought we would go out on the bike path and visit the Lincoln Memorial, especially since we still had good weather to bike in. We took a break to see the airplanes take off at Reagan.

And a couple miles later, we got to the Memorial.

As you can see from the pictures, the clouds were moving in fast, until it finally looked like this:

We knew at this point, we had to get home. I'm still amazed at how the weather can change so quickly here! Anyhow, for most of the ride, we were able to avoid the storm -- until we got into Alexandria. Our last mile was spent biking in the pouring rain. [Enter Erin's grimace here.] Thank goodness my camera and phone survived the storm!
